HIP-HOP MARKETING PART: 1 [book] – a Press Release by Queueone Dambuza

About the book!!

Hip-hop marketing part: 1 book is a training manual for hip-hop entrepreneurs and so-called hip-hop heads meant to assist all business-minded hip-hop heads and artists within the spectrum of South African hip-hop. This book is a part of my Hip-hop marketing series book aimed at also assisting hip-hop summit organizers, workshop facilitators, independent record label owners and all hip-hop related businesses.

Why write this book?

When I visited Stive Biko’s grave late 2008, I got inspired and touched in a strage but spiritual way with Stive Biko as a writer, philosopher and as a humanist. This book is a follow-up book from my first book entitled 100 REASONS WHY SOUTH AFRICAN HIP-HOP IS IN DANGER OF BECOMING EXTINCT.  That book is still available on selected bookshops. So writing the book is more of inspiration and sort of like a music guide to hip-hop music lovers and hip-hop entrepreneurs. This is also a reminder to NYDA that I don’t care about them and our hip-hop brethren and sistrens should not let wack organizations like to kill their dreams of starting their hip-hop dreams.

Who am I?

I am a freelance writer, author, radio presenter [hiphop show], blogger, internet marketer, documentarist, beatmaker , hip-hop activist and a learning dj from the Eastern Cape, former Transkei in a small rural town of Bizana along the Wild Coast of the province near South Coast of KwaZulu Natal with both Zulu and Xhosa roots. I am the son of the soil, ancient God Xhosa God Qamata.

Where to get the book?

The book is printed in Joburg and I am based in the Eastern Cape, but I have spoken to Ritual Stores, Black Concept Stores in Port Elizabeth, and Universal Bookshop in Port Shepstone, Clarkes Bookshop and African Music Store in Cape Town. I am also looking for more independent bookshops, libraries and hip-hop concept stores whether on the streets or online-based shops. The book is going to be sent to all university libraries in South Africa. Most importantly people who interested in purchasing the book can email me on djqone@activist.com and visit my facebook page: www.facebook.com/djqone
